V*Channel's desktop FAXServer LAN client program gives call center representatives the capability to fax any document in the document library from every Windows workstation on your local area network.
Just think of the productivity gains. Call center personnel can search and choose one or more documents, choose a prepared personal message, enter the fax number and off it goes.
Point & Click There is no limit to the number of documents you can store in the system. to Serve FAXServer gives anyone in a network environment the Windows interface to access the library of documents. They can search it, view a document, choose one or more, pick a prepared personal message or make one up, then fax the documents.
The FAXServer Windows interface program give customer service agents, technical support personnel, marketing personnel, and anyone with a LAN Windows workstation the shared fax resource to send documents without leaving
their desk.
Computers FAXLink can also automatically process outbound fax requests from any Serving computer, without human intervention, using our special LAN FAXGateway Faxes capability. Sometimes other computers need to send a fax just as people do.
Here's how it works: A host computer creates a command file
containing the document filename, recipient's name, and fax
phone number. The host them sends the command file to the
LAN fileserver. The FAXGateway program polls the fileserver looking
for the command file. When it is found, the FAXgateway opens
the command file, processes the fax request, and queues the
fax document for transmission. It is automatic and does not require any
assistance from anyone.
The FAXGateway is ideal for situations when you want to
communicate with someone after a host computer process has
been completed. For example, after an order is logged into
the database, you can automatically send a confirming fax
response. The nice thing about it is that no one has to
initiate the fax, it is completely automatic.
