V*CHANNEL, INC. Announces NETEZ LAN FaxGateway API for Network Command/Control

Santa Clara, CA – V*Channel, Inc., a leading producer of CTI interactive voice and fax response software, today announced the FAXLink NETEZ Application Programmer’s Interface (API). It enables other computer applications to initiate and monitor fax transactions on V*Channel’s FAXLink fax server.

The NETEZ API communications protocol is network independent because it based on ASCII text files. An ASCII command file is used to initiate and specify an individual fax job or a fax broadcast job. An ASCII broadcast list file is used to specify the list of recipients for a fax broadcast. The status of each fax transmission is available in an MS-Access database as well as an ASCII text status file associated with each fax job.

"NETEZ opens FAXLink as a network fax server resource. Not only do network processors/servers/agents have the ability to send faxes to an individual or to a list of recipients, but they can also take advantage of all the sophisticated features and functions of the FAXLink fax server. For example, FAXLink supports server side rasterization of Web page files in HTML format, Acrobat PDF, MSWord DOC , and Crystal Report RPT document files, said Alan S. Yatagai, V*Channel’s president. He added, "The NETEZ API is simple to use, troubleshoot, expand, and it has proven to be very reliable. "

Another advanced feature of FAXLink that NETEZ API supports is merging data from ODBC compliant databases into a form template to produce documents dynamically. For many ERP, E-Commerce, and other account oriented applications, merging data into a document template in real-time makes document preparation automatic and ensures that the most current information is delivered. One template document can be used over and over with different merged data. There are many applications where composing and faxing documents using this feature makes sense: Account balances, inventory status, interest rates, monetary exchange rate, management reports and more.

The FAXLink NETEZ application programmer’s interface is immediately available from V*Channel, Inc. Existing users of V*Channel's FAXLink fax server software can add support for the NETEZ API.

V*Channel, Inc. develops software for interactive voice and fax response applications. The FAXLink interactive voice/fax server is V*Channel's flagship product and is marketed world-wide through direct sales from V*Channel headquarters in Santa Clara, CA .
